Bozeman Canine Classic is excited to present its latest event for 2013:
Bozeman's K9 9K and DOG Festival
Saturday, May 18, 2013 - the 2nd Annual K9 9K. This is the second year for this great event. As the name suggests, the event is a 9K (5.5 miles) run or 9K walk starting in the scenic south end of Bozeman and finishing in dog friendly Bogert Park. There will also be a 1 mile fun run/walk for our younger puppies, senior dogs or those that may be physically challenged. The 1 mile event begins at 10:00am and ends in Bogert Park. After the event, there will be a community wide fun DOG festival with pet related businesses, vendors, non-profits, demonstrations, food and fun! Registration is available NOW online at www.racemontana.com
TIME:The 9K run starts at 9:00am followed by the 9K walkers at 9:15am. The one mile event will begin at 10:00am at the parking lot near the base of Pete's Hill across the street from Bogert Park. There will be water along the course for both two-legged and four-legged participants.
After the event, have your dogs enjoy a dip in one of our many doggie pools to cool off and wait to see if they won one of the GGRREAT raffle prizes Bozeman Canine Classic events are known for!
We are excited to announce our official event photographer will be renowned photographer,Phil Seu whose images have been published nationally as well as internationally.
But WHY join in this great event other than pure fun?? We are raising money for the following great organizations: National Canine Cancer Foundation, K9 Care Montana, and two local Montana animal shelters/rescues: Tiny Tails k9 Animal Rescue and Heart of Montana Canine Center (Lewistown).
Bozeman's first dog running/walking events!
The first and only running events devoted to our four-legged companions. When you really think about it...who do we train with for our own running benefit? That's right - our dogs! So now, Bozeman will honor our best training companions with running events just for them.
Keep checking back with us on our EVENTS PAGE for more information on our upcoming events for 2013.
August 18 is the next event. Mark it on your calendar and start getting excited!
